Mr. Brijesh Kumar

Mr. Brijesh Kumar is a diplomat from Ministry of External Affairs, he joined the service in 2002.

He has served in various capacities at Indian Embassies in Ankara, Ashgabat, Vienna, and Algiers, handling a wide range of responsibilities including commercial, cultural, information, consular, administrative affairs, as well as social media engagement. While posted in Vienna, he also worked on multilateral issues. At the Headquarters, he has contributed to multiple divisions, including e-Governance & IT (eG&IT), Establishment, Administration, and the Gulf Division.

Before assuming the role of Consul General of India in Erbil on 08th May 2025, he served in the e-Governance & IT (eG&IT) Division at the Headquarters.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from Meerut University. In addition to Hindi and English, he has beginner-level proficiency in German and Spanish.

Mr. Kumar is passionate about yoga and meditation, reading, travelling, and the Right to Information (RTI) framework.
